Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted at The Purple Booker.
Anyone can play along by doing the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
“‘It’s fear, Jack. The man deals with a huge amount of fear.’
‘Because he got hurt?’
‘No, not entirely. Fear comes with imagination, it’s a penalty, it’s the price of imagination.’”
[ No matter if, movie-wise, Red Dragon was the latest one to come out, it is actually the first book of Hannibal Lecter’s series. If you have found watching the movie that the exchanges between the Doctor and Will reminded Lecter and Agent Sterling in The Silence of the Lambs, it is not because they’ve copied that one. It is the other way round: in Red Dragon Harris doesn’t portray Lecter as his main villain, but he discovers him for the first time. Good, because Lecter went on to become a (dark) myth and established Harris as one of the best thriller writers ever. If you want to learn what suspense is, read this book.]
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays’ post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here and/or in The Purple Booker.
Hi! Nice to meet you! I’m new to your blog, and just followed.
Great book choice! I need to re-read it! Hope you enjoy it. 🙂

Thanks Alice, I’m going to have a look at it!
Eeeek. Great Teaser but the plot sounds too creepy for me.
My Tuesday post features excerpts from The Butterfly’s Daughter.
Oh, it is. It freaks me out even now after having read it twice 😀
This was such a good one. I enjoyed the books better than the movies. You get so much more insight!
My TT from Three Strikes, You’re Dead
I perfectly agree, so much better than the movies. 😉
How could I turn my back on an “origin story” about Hannibal Lecter? This sounds beyond intriguing… Thank you so much for sharing!!!! 🙂
I don’t know that I would want to read this one – but there is no doubt that it packs a punch. Thank you for sharing, Steph:)
