Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson

Aurora (2015) by Kim Stanley Robinson is centred on a generation ship en route to a Tau Ceti’s Earth-like exoplanet to begin a colony. In this hard SF novel, the story is told by the ship’s AI’s point of view. Complex and well researched as all KSR’s novel, Aurora asks critical questions about mankind’s future in space, presenting disquieting scenarios without being a full-fledged dystopia.
