SF Classics – The Time Ships by Stephen Baxter

The Time Ships (1995) is Stephen Baxter’s first SF novel. Its particularity lies in the fact that it is an (authorised)  sequel to The Time Machine by H. G. Wells. It relates the story of the Time Traveller, which embarks on a series of voyages into the far-away future. Amazing and thought-provoking, it portrays alternate universes, an original nuclear energy source and Dyson spheres. Winners of a series of awards (John W. Campbell Memorial Award, the Philip K. Dick Award and  BSFA Award) and nominated by others (including Hugo, Clarke, and Locus).

I haven’t read this one. How are you getting on with it?

Hello, it is a complex one – like virtually all Stephen Baxter’s novels – but quite rewarding 🙂
