Teaser Tuesday (February 9)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

โ€ข Grab your current read
โ€ข Open to a random page
โ€ข Share two (2) โ€œteaserโ€ sentences from somewhere on that page
โ€ข BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesnโ€™t give too much away! You donโ€™t want to ruin the book for others!)
โ€ข Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Thatโ€™s my choice of the day:

โ€œThe path I choose through the maze makes me what I am. I am not only a thing, but also a way of beingโ€“one of many waysโ€“and knowing the paths I have followed and the ones left to take will help me understand what I am becoming.โ€

[Note: One of the best, and most famous, SF novels ever. I read it from time to timeย to remind myself why I love this genre so much -and it still gives me shivers.]

( ~ Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes, 1959, Kindle Edition)

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your โ€˜teasersโ€™ in a comment here and/or in A Daily Rhythmโ€™s blog.

This is one of my favorites too. Have you seen the movie? I have a thriller this week. The teaser on my adult blog comes from A Voice from the Field by Neal Griffin. Happy reading!

Ah! I have not read this classic, though I’m aware I should do so – especially as you love it so much. Thank you for swinging by earlier and commenting on the Tom Pollock offering:)

Hi, thanks – I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. And for a writer there’s an added bonus – you see the MC evolving just by looking at the way his language changes, page after page. Had I thought I could write, that one would have made me desperate ๐Ÿ˜€

Wow! I love profound thoughts that make you sit and think. I also slipped over to Goodreads to get the synopsis and this sounds like an utterly amazing concept. I went right away and bought it from Amazon. Thanks for that. Here’s my link for intro and teaser this Tuesday: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-1aM

Yes, it’s quite an amazing (and original) book – if you think it has been written in 1959. Certain things have no age ๐Ÿ™‚

This is one of those unforgettable books I read many years ago. I not only loved the book, I also enjoyed the movie (“Charly”) based on the book. A great story.
My Tuesday post features THE GIVER.

Hello Sandra, funny enough I’ve never watched the movie – I need to catch up.
