Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
That’s my choice of the day:
“Unlike any other outlaw before, he understood the potency of legend. He crafted his and nurtured it; he was a vicious thug, but he had a social conscience.”
( ~ Killing Pablo: the Hunt for the Richest, Most Powerful Criminal in History, by Mark Bowden, 2012, Kindle edition.)
[Note: This is somehow a different reading from my usual SFF&H, essentially due to two things: I actually like military history, and this book is packed with Delta Force/Seal action, from the same author of Black Hawk Down. Second, I had just watched Narcos on Netflix, and I thought it was worth reading a bit more about the whole story.]
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here and/or in A Daily Rhythm’s blog.
Sounds like he was smart. I like nonfiction, so I’ll add this to my list.
Thanks for stopping by, Beth. Yes, it’s worth a reading!
Oooo, I think that will be a great read.

Hello Sherry, it is indeed.
Sounds like a fascinating story. I don’t often read nonfiction, but I’m curious about this book.
My Tuesday post features Shadow of the Hawk.
Thanks Sandra, I think you might like it. Going to check yours.
I have a copy of this one, but haven’t yet read it. I love everything I’ve read by Mark Bowden.
He’s great, isn’t it? You’re going to like this one too, I think.
Ok, THAT is a killer tease! Good choice! So, this is a nonfiction read right? I am very curious about your review when you do it.
Yes, even though you can claim that Escobar’s life is stranger than fiction…
Interesting quote! It has really left me needing more. Sounds like a great read. Thanks for visiting my blog.
It is, you won’t be disappointed
Escobar’s life was very interesting! I recently watched a documentary about him, and I think I’d like this book as well, Stephen. Thanks for sharing
Thanks! You will also like Narcos in this case, the new series on Netflix.
