SF Classics –The Man in the High Castle by Philip K Dick

The Man in the High Castle (1962) by Philip K Dick is one of the most famous books of alternate history. In this dystopian world, Nazi Germany won the war together with Japan, and the US are divided between the two winners. A complex story, with a “novel within the novel” trope  and various references, the Chinese Classic I-Ching among others. The novel was awarded a Hugo in 1963. By the way: Amazon has recently produced a pilot of a TV series adaptation of the story, which sees the involvement (among others) of Ridley Scott.
