Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted at The Purple Booker.
Anyone can play along by doing the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.

“She accepts the world as it is and the world accepts her thus; she is not mastered. What is done to her cannot confine what she will do.”
(~ The Monster Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson, Kindle Edition, 2018)
[This is the sequel to Baru Cormorant -or The Traitor Baru Cormorant depending on the editions. It was a long time a series didn’t grab me as this one, and, to me, it puts GoT (the TV series, not the books, to be fair) to shame, because it is more subtle, geopolitically more plausible, with characters more consistent in their story arch. Oh, and I loved Baru since the first pages. They call this “hard fantasy” (no magic to save the day) and, for SF lovers, it is the best of two worlds. Please, more!]
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays’ post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here and/or in The Purple Booker.
