[Note: I’m a passionate of Renaissance Europe, and I’ve read pretty much all biographies I could put my hands on -in various languages- regarding Catherine, which is one of my favourite personages, for many reasons. She has been vilified for centuries and only recently historians have started to present a more equilibrate portrait of this complex queen, certainly one of the finest minds of XVI century.
