If there’s one thing I really *adore* (when it’s properly done, of course) in SFF literature is that part of worldbuilding involving cities. There are some immortal ones that stay in the memory years, or even decades, after you read about them and, if you’re a writer, you’ll find that scant details of them may well resurface in your own creations, probably in a different setting and with other implications (but still…).
I have been chatting with fellow bloggers and writers for a while about the fictional cities and in general places memorable to them for a way or another. Some proved to be quite popular – like Minas Tirith (LOTR), King’s Landing (GoT), Coruscant (Star Wars) – other exotic and almost unheard of (that series is long). I decided to write a list with the most interesting ones – and I would love more suggestions by the blogosphere.
Please do send me a mail / message / twit if you want to contribute – or just reply here – possibly also with a sentence about the reasons of your choice.
I’d like to present the top nine (I have a thing against the number10) in October, so let’s write up.
