Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
That’s my choice of the day:
“On the first page it says: in the fresco I’m one of the figures in the background. The book, perhaps the only remaining copy, has never been opened; the names are the names of the dead – my names, and those who have travelled those twisting paths.“
( ~ Q by Luther Blisset, 1999, Kindle Edition)
[Note: Another of my favourite spy books, this one a real jewel, for many reasons. First, it’s a historical, incredibly accurate, thriller of the Renaissance times, during the Protestant Reformation. Second, it’s absolutely captivating. Third, it has been co-written by a group of scholars /journalists that have authored, under other fictional by-lines, a series of other amazing books.]
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here and/or in A Daily Rhythm’s blog.
