It is not the first time I post about podcasts–I have started a while ago with a series of guest posts and interviews. I simply love fiction podcasts –as a listener, as a writer, as a slusher, too.
So this week, I’d like to do some signal boosting for the amazing EscapePod’s Black Future Month special submissions window.
They have invited Brent Lambert of FIYAH Magazine as the call’s guest editor. For this special event, they are only accepting submission from authors of the African diaspora and the African continent. This is an intersectional definition of Blackness, and they strongly encourage submissions from women, members of the LGBTQIA community, and members from other underrepresented communities within the African diaspora.
Episodes will air in the month of October and feature two original works of short fiction as well as two reprints. Submissions will be open from March 1 – 31. Stories must be between 1,500 – 5,000 words, and manuscripts do not need to be anonymized.
Read all the details directly from EscapePod site.
