It has been a while since I have posted something about anime (blame my non-fiction writing for that), but, before I can get back to the usual coverage, there is a couple of good news for fellow anime fans.
First of all, Castlevania Season 2 is finally available on
I have already written about this American anime based on the 1989 Japanese videogame, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, with somehow a mixed judgement even though I had enjoyed watching it for the reasons explained in that post. However, Season 2 is a step up and it is definitely worth your time, retaining all good aspects of the first Season but making the scenario and the characterisation much better (also because there’s so much going on). I won’t spoil the surprise, so, go & watch it.
The other news is that the anime of original manga of Devilman (see my review here) has finally arrived. As all Devilman lovers know, the original anime were NOT based on the manga, because it had been judged (with a reason!) too violent and dark for the TV in
I’m really enjoying Castlevania, the characters and pacing are great, it’s such a fun show!
