One of the good things about living in Edinburgh is the events you have access to. Tonight is a good example – we have in town Professor Brian Cox for a theatre session of astrophysics and related topics. [If you don’t know him but you enjoy these subjects, you should check him out. He’s a Uni prof from Manchester U, but he’s capable to discussing quite complex topics in a way anybody can understand, which is a real gift. Moreover, the man is charming, flippant and funny.]
I have obviously got myself the best ticket I could find, and I’ll be sitting in the third row to snap some good pictures and (if I am really lucky) ask a question.
I can’t really wait for it!
Professor Cox is on tour in the UK, so if you live here you might be able to see him too.
In the meantime (or in alternative) this is a good video:
I hope it was amazing – though I cannot think of a reason why it wouldn’t be… I’m really jealous!
It was – actually, he is amazing! If I lived in Manchester, right now I’d be enrolled in a Master in Cosmology only to have him as my Prof 😀
Wow! That good, huh? I’m delighted you found him such an inspiration – I’ve always enjoyed his programmes and it’s heartening to hear that he is as brilliant as he seems.
Yes, he’s a real showman, not only a great (and brilliant) talker. And funny, too – he had us laughing many times 🙂
I’ve gone a really unbecoming shade of green – envy is a terrible thing *sighs*
🙂
