The Dervish House by Ian McDonald

The Dervish House (2010) by Ian McDonald is near-future science fiction/ thriller novel. It follows, through alternate character perspectives, a bus bombing incident in Istanbul. Dark, at times cynical, absolutely fascinating, it was shortlisted for a series of awards ( Arthur C. Clarke, John W. Campbell Memorial, Hugo) and won one of them (the BSFA).

After enjoying – no, *totally* loving – “Luna, New Moon” I decided that I need to read more from McDonald, and this sounds like a good place to start. Thanks for sharing!

Hi, loved Luna as well, and McDonald is a great writer. I’d also suggest you to read Brasyl, it’s an amazing novel too.
