Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
That’s my choice of the day:
“It is a principle of diplomacy. One must know something of the truth in order to lie convincingly.”
( ~ The Hunt for Red October, by Tom Clancy,1984, Kindle edition.)
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here and/or in A Daily Rhythm’s blog.
I haven’t read that book but I did like that movie. Thanks for sharing.
Here’s my post http://www.sharonsbooknook.com/2015/08/25/teaser-tuesday-naked/
thanks Sharons. Going to check straight away.
I liked both the book and the movie though I’ll admit I skimmed a lot of the very long descriptions of weapons and other technical stuff. The teaser on my adult blog comes from Broken Play by Samantha Kane. This one was kinky and steamy. Happy reading!
Thanks Kathy, I’m going to have a look at that.
There’s a blast from the past! I recall diving into these with huge enjoyment.
yes :))
I really like the movie and have been wanting to read the book. I don’t think I have read any books by Clancy, now that I think about it.
I’ve read almost all of them, except this one. I decided I needed to fill the gap 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
I read this book (and saw the movie) many years ago. Maybe it’s time for a re-read! That’s a great Teaser, and I’m sure it’s true.
My Tuesday post features SAMUEL & SOPHIA.
Thanks Sandra, going to check it straight away 🙂
I haven’t read the book unfortunately – nice choice of teaser though.
Lynn 😀
Thanks Lynn, worth reading it for sure.
Saw the movie, haven’t read the book.
Worth reading, Mary Ann 😉
Ahh Sean Connery, my first old man crush.
Sean Connery was simply amazing as Ramius 🙂
