Yes, you read it correctly. With New Horizon’s historical mission, the first era of planetary exploration – where we have explored all planets of our solar system – comes to an end.
But this is also a new beginning. From now on, our target will be beyond those borders, maybe the Kuiper Belt’s objects, or father away, into the Oort Cloud. But only after our encounter with Pluto on July, 14 2015, about which expectations are high and the imagery sent over has already started changing our vision of that frozen, remote world.
