Interview to Ken Liu, on Amazing Stories

An interview to Ken Liu, the SF Chinese-American writer, author of some excellent short stories (published on F&SF, Asimov’s, Analog, Lightspeed, Clarkesworld among others) and winner of many SF awards, has appeared on December, 17 on Amazing Stories. Regina Kanyu Wang has conducted this interview in English and then translated into Chinese. I had the pleasure to translate it into Italian, and the text is available here in case there’s any Italian reader around.

Ken Liu is an amazing writer, and on top of that a very gift translator himself. His was for example the English version of Liu Cixin’s The Three-Body Problem, published by Tor just last month.

If you haven’t read him yet, the following title is a great start to his magic: the short story Paper Menagerie, published on F&SF in 2011, that can be read on Io9. Incidentally, it has been the first short story to win all these three of SF’s major awards, the Hugo, the Nebula and the World Fantasy Award.

Finally, Ken’s first novel The Grace of Kings is going to be out soon (here for a sneak peek of the cover). Can’t really wait.
