It features a field agent working for British government agency “the Laundry”, in a dark world where espionage is mixed up with occult threats and supernatural, Lovecraftian horror. And guess what, this story is about (frightening) unicorns: be ready to get scared. Last but not the least, Equoid has been nominated for the Hugo Awards of this year, as best novella.
