Hubble’s videos – learn to watch

What Hubble Space Telescope is, everybody knows – it’s the first major optical telescope to be placed in space, back in 1990. As explained on NASA’s website, being “above the distortion of the atmosphere, far far above rain clouds and light pollution, Hubble has an unobstructed view of the universe. Scientists have used Hubble to observe the most distant stars and galaxies as well as the planets in our solar system.”

Thanks to this technologic merveille, more than 1.3 million observations of the sky have been carried out, changing pretty much everything we know about the universe.

There are a lot of features available to the public – one being the amazing wallpapers of nebulae and galaxies with which you can decorate your room. Among the less known, however, there are the educational videos -that teach people how to observe the night sky, identifying constellations and planets. You don’t need a telescope for that, even thought some good binoculars will make the skygazing a more rewarding experience.

In case you want to give it a try, here you have March 2017: enjoy!
