Teaser Tuesday (December 20)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, which this week presents a novelty – it has changed home, and it is now hosted at The Purple Booker (the rest remains the same, though).

As usual, anyone can play along by doing the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Whoever said life has anything to do with what we want or don’t want? Life’s a gift, Cassie, sometimes we have to give something back.”

(~Infernal Angel by Edward Lee, Kindle Edition, 2003)

[Note: This is #2 of a series, by a well-known horror writer. I have to say I have mixed feelings so far about the book and the series itself – not as innovative as other things he wrote – and the only reason I keep reading is that I trust Lee to know what he’s doing.]

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here and/or in The Purple Booker.

I love the cover… Are we talking full-on blood and gore, here – or the creepy sort of horror? I’m such a wuss – I get nightmares if I read anything too visceral and as a confirmed insomniac anyway, I try to avoid anything that further disrupts my very challenged sleep patterns! Have a great Christmas, Steph and thank you for swinging by earlier:)

You’re right, I should do the same… I read/watched far too horror in my youth, I should know better 😉 Have a great Christmas, too!

I hope the book gets better for you, Stephen. I like the teaser you shared today with us. I think life for many if it was only a matter of what we wanted or didn’t want.

      Many thanks Wendy! 🙂

I like the teaser although the cover and title are a bit off-putting. I’ll look forward to your review. Here’s the link to my intro/teaser for this week: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-1oY

As I said, I’m not sure about this book, but I’ll finish before making up my mind… Have a good Christmas break!

Oooh, I’m easily scared, but somehow I’m still drawn to horror (occasionally). This sounds fascinating.

    1. Steph P. Bianchini (Post author)

It is – and not heavy horror, too.

  6. Colline

How disappointing that you are not enjoying this one as much as the other books he has written.

  7. Steph P. Bianchini (Post author)

I am still divided – sure the first of the series was more captivating.
