Hugo Night and other winners

Worldcon 74 is nicely folding up, and it’s time for a recap.

First of all, the location for 2018 – decided in MidAmCon II: San Jose, California won the bid for hosting Worldcon 76 in 2018 – and, considering is the place I find myself right now, I can say I’m definitively happy with the choice.

Second, the Hugo Night and the Awards – I’m glad to notice that this year has been less affected (at least in my perception) by the slating controversies that plagued the 2015 Awards, probably because people have learnt how to live with the SP/RP (intended) mess.

Why is San Jose so convenient for you? Have you had enough of Scottish sunshine?

Ah-ah! Just because I have family in California (LA), so it’ll make easier to plan the trip. 😉

Cool – might see you there in 2018, although Helsinki 2017 comes well before then!
