(More) Space Art from NASA

I have already written about the beautiful artwork produced by NASA over the years, so I won’t go through any lengthy explanation – this is only to give un update.

Not happy to have produced the amazing exoplanet series, earlier this year the agency added to its already rich art gallery another set called Visions of the Future, portraying snapshots of possible space tourism destination in the Solar System.

Titan1Imagination is our window into the future. These interplanetary travel posters envision a day when the creativity of scientists and engineers will allow us to do things we can only dream of now.” (Press Release, 11 February 2016).

Cool, eh? There are nine of them, including places like Enceladus, Venus, Ceres and, of course, an all-time favourite by space lovers like Titan. All in high-resolution, so that you can print them out, hang them in your office (I did) and plan ahead your next holiday destination.

Be patient, though – it might take a while.

Cool. But I wish the Mars poster was more about photography of the Martian landscape which is pretty awesome.

Hi Cinda, you have a point. I think they have chosen this way as different ideas for future space tourism… but certainly, something such us “hiking on Mons Olympus” would be awesome 🙂

I’ve discovered the map of Mars online from NASA and it is just incredible. Really helps while I’m reading Kim Stanley Robinson’s Mars trilogy.

The posters are awesome. I’m just starting to learn graphic design and this is a great set to study! I love the lines and color!

Hello Alex, I agree – the exoplanet series is cool too. I think NASA is doing an amazing job – both at an artistic and educational level. I have just printed up Europa’s and put in my office 🙂
