Cormac McCarthy’s use of Anglo-Saxon English gives his prose almost a brutish sense, supporting the grim, primitive conditions in the book. His incredible use of language just blew me away. I saw the movie also and was pleasantly surprised how close to the book it was. Cinda

This book certainly doesn’t pull any punches, it’s downright grim and harsh, but at the same time so very good!
