Teaser Tuesday (January 5)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

That’s my choice of the day:

No one can tell what goes on in between the person you were and the person you become; no one can chart that blue and lonely section of hell. There are no maps of the change. You just come out the other side. Or you don’t.”

( ~ The Stand by Stephen King, 1978, Kindle Edition)

[ Note: Always difficult to select one book among Stephen King’s – I like them all. But if I had to do it, The Stand will get the award. Why?  Because it’s sooo creepy and you can’t put it down, no matter if its size.]

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here and/or in A Daily Rhythm’s blog.

Definitively worth it, better than the movies based on his (many) novels.

Hope you’re enjoying it … I don’t do King (I’m not a fan of horror)

Hello Beth, thanks for stopping by – as a matter of fact, this one is not (pure) horror – I would say a post-apocalyptic / dystopian novel.

“Creepy” is why I don’t read Stephen King. I’m too suggestible. My teaser comes from The Bitter Season by Tami Hoag. Happy reading!

This is more post-apocalyptic / dystopian – but yes, creepy it is all right. 😀

You’re braver than I am; I can’t do “sooo creepy”. Here’s my intro and teaser from a Josephine Tey puzzler: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-16A

Loved this book! Not his classic horror stuff at all, which I don’t read, but it kept me captivated. He can tell a story.

It’s been a long time since I read this one, but I still remember it quite well – definitely one of King’s best, if not THE best one.
    Thanks for reminding me 🙂
