Teaser Tuesday (December 8)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

That’s my choice of the day:

“Interpretation though the filters of ideology has always been one of our race’s curses.”

(~The Neutronium Alchemist, Peter F. Hamilton, 1997, Kindle edition)

[Note: This novel is part of the (great, amazing, fell free to pour superlatives in) The Night’s Dawn Trilogy. This is one is the second book, and to me not only the most entertaining but also the most politically mature of the three. Only caveat: you can’t read it alone, you will have to go for the whole set of trilogy. Make sure you plan accordingly: the three amount at 1M 247k words, no kidding.]

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here and/or in A Daily Rhythm’s blog.

I occasionally enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy, and this sounds like a good story. Unfortunately, I have a hard time reading a book that’s 1,000+ pages long! Reading this series would take me a month.
My Tuesday post features Beach Trip.

Hello Sandra, yes, it is rather challenging I agree. To me was worth it though 🙂

Hm. I’ve tried reading Hamilton before – my husband is a huge fan… but I simply cannot get into it. Congratulations for tackling – and finishing – such a monster read. My current read is also science fiction…

Hi, I’m aware that some people are not enthusiastic. I would say I don’t appreciate everything in the same way, but the Night’s Dawn Trilogy is to me his best work 😀
