The end of an era of planetary exploration

Yes, you read it correctly. With New Horizon’s historical mission, the first era of planetary exploration – where we have explored all planets of our solar system – comes to an end.


But this is also a new beginning. From now on, our target will be beyond those borders, maybe the Kuiper Belt’s objects, or father away, into the Oort Cloud. ¬†But only after our encounter with Pluto on July, 14 2015, about which expectations are high and the imagery sent over has¬†already started changing our vision of that frozen, remote world.
In the meantime, this amazing video summarised all the achievements mankind made so far in its discovery of space.
